If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that some of the strongest breakthroughs in marriage don’t come from long talks or weekend getaways- they come from Spirit-led prayer behind closed doors.
I’ve seen it.
I remember mentoring a friend who's marriage was on the rocks because her husband had disengaged from the family. He was acting completely different from who she knew him to be and her friends had told her to get a divorce (they had only been married a few months at that time).
To be clear, there was no abuse, he was simply disconnected. When we spoke I asked her if she had warred for her marriage and for her husband. We began to pray for his heart to be restored and today they have 4 children and have been happily married for over 11 years.
Myself and my husband, haven’t faced a lot of internal conflict. But in our journey from homeless to mulitmillionaire we have walked through storrrrms, external pressure, unexpected hits to our health, finances, peace. We've faced real spiritual warfare and what carried us through every time was knowing how to pray together.
